Katarina was born in Niš, where she graduated from the High School of Music, Department of Solo Singing, in the class of prof. Gordane Milosevic. She continues her education at the Music Academy in East Sarajevo in the class of prof. Aleksandra Ivanović. From the third year of studies Katarina has been in the class of Primadon Dr. Radmila Bakocevic prof. emeritus.She has further developed her professional skills with the eminent solo singing educators Biserka Cvejić and Olivera Miljaković. After completing her Bachelor studies (2004), she continues her Master studies, also in East Sarajevo, in the class of Radmila Bakočević, Ph.D. emeritus.
Katarina started her teaching career during her studies in Sarajevo and since 2006 she has been working at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, where is currently an Associate Professor at the Chair for Solo Singing. During her teaching career at the Faculty of Arts in Niš she has achieved remarkable results. Her students have won many awards at international and domestic competitions.In addition to pedagogy, Katarina has a notable concert activity.
Apart from a large number of recitals at home and abroad, as well and large number of solo performances with choirs (Sweden, Russia, Italy, USA, Canada, Greece, Switzerland), the following appearances should also be mentioned: A. Vivaldi: "Gloria", G. B. Pergolezi: Stabat Mater, V. A. Mozart: "Requiem" at the 25th International Choral Ceremony in Niš, L. van Beethoven: "9. symphony ”marking the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan, tour with the Festival Strauss Orchestra in Spain and Portugal. She has performed at festivals such as Nimus, Sarajevo Winter, OKTOH, Piano Summer Festival and more.Katarina has performed as an opera singer in "The Flittermouse" by J. Strauss in the role of Adela at the National Theater in Niš, in opera "At Dawn" by S. Binički, as well as in comic opera "The Telephone" by G.C. Menotti.
